The show is also packed full of special feature areas where there will be live demonstrations, debates and opportunities to network with exhibitors and other show visitors.
At the heart of Exhibiting Show 2007 is the show’s Café Bar where visitors can relax and enjoy a spot of refreshment. Built by Early Action Group, this is also the perfect platform for the company to show off its unique Quad 4 stand build system.
And, seeing products in action is a pre-requisite of a show that is all about live events, so visitors looking to add something to their event or exhibition stand should pop along to the Exhibiting Show Demo area. Alongside this there is a Networking Area, which is a relaxed and informal section of the show where exhibitors and visitors can meet, mix and do business.
The massive 200-seat tiered Exhibiting Show Arena will also be hosting events of major industry importance. On the programme is the Exhibition News Great Debate, an interactive session covering current issues impacting upon live events, and the popular and informative Nomadic Display’s ‘How to Exhibit’ seminar.
EDUCATION, EDUCATION, EDUCATION
Learning and education has always been one of the central themes of Exhibiting Show and this year is no different. The show’s seminar programme covers every aspect of the exhibiting process and offers something for every level of exhibitor from the novice looking for guidance and hints and tips right through to the seasoned exhibition professional who wants to understand the latest event trends. This year the seminars are free of charge for visitors, making it even easier for everyone to attend the sessions of their choice.
The line-up of speakers includes some of the most innovative and challenging thinkers from the world of exhibitions and exhibition marketing. They will be presenting a fascinating range of ideas and case studies to inspire, stimulate and energise. Topics include the top ten online event marketing techniques, experiential marketing and the future of brand power, how to project a company’s image through its staff, good exhibition stand design and ethical purchasing for live events.
The international element of Exhibiting Show has also significantly increased this year. Since the last show, organiser Exposure Event Creations has promoted the event at a whole host of exhibitions in countries such as China, Germany, Greece, the US and South Africa. This has resulted in closer links with major international associations such as the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), more international exhibitors than ever before and, equally importantly, additional opportunities to promote the show to international visitors.
Reflecting this the IAEE will be running its professional development programme. This is the first time this will have taken place in the UK, offering visitors to the show a unique opportunity to add to their knowledge in a professional environment. The two-day, Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) course will include an optional crisis prevention management element and a mandatory event operations course.
Graphics are an important part of any exhibition stand and, if done well, they can enhance, inspire and increase the prospect of success for the exhibitor. At this year’s Exhibiting Show, Frazer Chesterman and Marcus Timson from FESPA will be giving a free presentation looking at this dynamic and rapidly changing sector of the visual communications market.
The presentation at Exhibiting Show will explore the challenges and opportunities for signage and graphics companies, and will highlight ideas that will help suppliers rethink the way they produce graphics for exhibition clients.
Sustainability is also a major focus of Exhibiting Show 2007. Exhibitors today are more environmentally aware and are increasingly demanding that the companies that work with them on their events have strong environmental credentials. Companies like Wildcard Creative are showing environmental products and services on their stand and Exhibiting Show organiser, Exposure Event Creations, has also linked up with a company called ‘Put Something Back’ to offset the entire carbon footprint of the event.
Put Something Back has calculated the effect travel to and from the show by exhibitors and visitors will have on the environment, and Exhibiting Show has made an equivalent donation to one of the company’s managed plantation projects in the UK.
“There has been a whirlwind of activity surrounding this year’s show,” says Exposure Event Creation’s Managing Director, Simon Burton. “We have broadened the spectrum of products and services on show, have enhanced our educational element and have developed a number of new and exciting features. With all of this to see and enjoy just one day at Exhibiting Show 2007 will give you more ideas and opportunities than you could ever use!”
